Update
With an International background, Claudia Carter brings interest and diversity to North Texas. After over
15 years abroad and a detour through Austin, Claudia has settled in the Lewisville area. As an Insurance Agent she strives to educate her clients about insurance focusing on individual, family and business needs.
Claudia was active in various sports related activities while overseas. In Dubai, she organized Softball tournaments for Americans working in the Middle East and Navy personnel in the area. Twice a year they converged on Dubai for a huge softball tournament, shopping and of course good food. As Athletic Commissioner, she also co-organized three softball leagues and a tennis league in Dubai.
While in Norway, Claudia worked for the national oil company on various North Sea Projects, took courses in international business, started an import/export company and became fluent in Norwegian.
She also managed and coached the first Norwegian National Women’s Fast Pitch Team, taking the team to the European Championship in Torino, Italy to compete for the wild card position in the 1996 Olympics. Norges Landslag did not win the coveted spot in Atlanta, but in their first international competition, they were honored with the European Sportsmanship Award.
From Norway she was transferred to Malaysia where she was Activities Director for a Resort Community outside Kuala Lumpur.
After returning to the States, Claudia resumed her education at University of North Texas. She became Marketing Director for Carriage House Assisted Living and prior to starting her Farmers Agency she was Executive Analyst for a Management Services Company. During her detour to Austin, she was Retention Rep. for Time Warner and started a unique dyed fabric business for quilters.
Claudia organizes a meet-up group, Denton County Adventurers, with a focus on dining and culture in Denton County. She works with Jeremiah Johnson, Sales Coach/Trainer to organize Flag Football events as an exciting way to discover leadership qualities and develop teamwork skills.
